Not pain, but exorbitant wellness

There has been extensive and well-documented research done on pain, both from a psychological and physiological perspective.  A significant finding is that even when pain is not psychosomatic, when it has a medically verifiable material cause, the mind can lessen it and even override it.

 

          One kind of experiment involved sending increasing amounts of electrical currents through the body.  While the level of electrical shocks was being raised, half of the research subjects were being shown video of loved ones, and the other half were not.  It took a significantly much higher level of electrical shocks to get a “stop” response from those concentrating on loved ones. 

 

These and other experiments point to the mental nature of physical sensation and conditions. 

 

In one instance I was experiencing agonizing back pain.  It prevented me from most movements.  Even sitting and lying down were limited to a few painless positions. 

 

As I’ve done on many occasions when I’ve experienced pain I focused on the comprehensiveness of LOVE-GOD and its all-filling presence in me and everyone.  The pain lessened.  As I kept on this mental path of bringing myself into a convergence with the ALL-IN-ALL of LOVE-SPIRIT healing took place. 

 

Real healing does not involve manipulating the human mind.  It is about submitting ourselves to the ascendancy of LOVE-MIND. 

 

The Psalmist wrote, “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul…”  The perfection-asserting law of LOVE-MIND undergirds our lives.

 

Formidable spiritual thinker and healer, M. B. Eddy, wrote, “As thought changes from one stage to another of conscious pain and painlessness, sorrow and joy – from fear to hope and from faith to understanding, -- the visible manifestation well at last be man governed by Soul, not by material sense.”  She is describing a mental journey of spiritual enlightenment which alters every facet of human life. 

 

Spiritual concepts thrust us forward on this journey. 

 

MIND is the infinitely harmonious EGO.  It is the alpha and omega of immaculate, matter-free existence.  It is the interpreter of intelligent being.  It gives us the divine “who, what, where and why” of everything that exists.  When we anchor our thinking on these divine verities we experience resolution to the most extreme diseases and difficulties. 

 

The divine will of LOVE exerts perfection, order, concord, bounty, peace and joy for all.  What are ostensibly physical imperfections can be reversed with spiritual comprehension.  Then we arrive at the original facts of our immaculate, SOUL-maintained lives. 

 

From a spiritual vantage point it is obvious that we are not bio-chemical parts stuffed into a skin-enclosure.  We are symphonies of SOUL – concordant and majestic movements of immortal LIFE.  We are embodiments of MIND’s boundless spiritual concepts.  

 

These majestic spiritual ideas propel us to grander health and wellness.  Each day can bring profuse, LOVE-instigated joys and rewards.
