Flying higher on the wings of divine Science

                                                        

 

It is helpful to ask ourselves often: “Is this thought, feeling or decision based on SOUL’s eternal, spiritual facts, or on temporal, physical beliefs?” 

Metaphysical Science teaches that only spiritual, transcendent interpretations of life assert wellness and progress.  Even good human ideas, if premised on matter, will cause us to drift toward entropy.

Jesus encourages us to liberate ourselves from materiality, to take flight on the wings of spiritual sense.  He said, “Except a man be born of water and Spirit (be born again to a spiritual sense of life), he cannot enter into the kingdom of God (perceive ultimate Truth).” 

M. B. Eddy adds to this: “Human birth, growth, maturity, and decay are as the grass springing from the soil with beautiful green blades, afterwards to wither and return to its native nothingness.”  She also says, “The evidence of man’s immortality will become more apparent, as material beliefs are given up and the immortal facts of being are admitted.”

I have felt these surges of spiritual freedom many times.  On one occasion the divine uplift healed me of chronic and acute back pain.  I went from being unable to move, to leaping and praising SPIRIT-GOD. 

We are endowed with the “... grand possibilities of immortal man, forever unlimited by the mortal senses.”  Our Christly understanding casts off the fearful, painful, fragile, sinful, aging and dying concepts of matter-trapped thinking.   

Like Jacob, who shed his troubled past and started anew, spiritual knowledge rebuilds our lives with immortal health, intelligence, love, power, grace and bounty.  

We can use the “wings” of divine Science to attain new heights of wisdom and wellness.
