Seeing her, the Lord had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” He went up and touched the coffin, and those who carried it stopped. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, get up!” The dead man sat up and began to speak, and Jesus gave him back to his mother. (MOUNCE, Luke 7:11-15)
"O sweet and tender as the dawn, with mighty power to heal and bless, is God's dear gift to all His own: the happy grace of gentleness. How quickly burdens fall away ... when Love with touch of gentleness uplifts the sinning and the sad. ... Self-love and harshness disappear beneath its tender, healing power." (poem/hymn by Ella Stone)
